How did the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan involve the community?

While developing the CCAP, the Departments of Commerce and Ecology engaged with Washington communities, cities, counties, Tribes, and businesses to gather climate priorities and needs of residents, particularly communities that have been disproportionately impacted by climate pollution. Our goal is to engage in climate solutions that work for communities.

Stay tuned for engagement opportunities for the next phase of this work: the 2027 Status Report.

Opportunities include:

  • Monthly tribal workgroups
  • Quarterly public meetings
  • Informative website updates and surveys
  • In-person and virtual community meetings
  • Regional collaboration
  • Topic-focused workshops
